How to Create a Productive Morning Routine

Productive morning routines set the tone for a successful day. Without a morning routine to set you up for victory, you risk sacrificing your energy, focus, and attention to detail during your long day ahead.

Don’t Snooze

If you make snoozing your alarm a habit, the less likely you are to feel 100% ready to start your day. Ask yourself if the extra 5-10 minutes of sleep are worth making you feel rushed and late to work.

Take a 15-30 minutes to sit quietly and meditate before starting your day. Sitting silently can calm your mind, reduce stress, and lead to a more proactive outlook for the day. Apps like Headspace or Calm can help guide you through your practice.

Drink a Glass of Water

After sleeping for hours your body needs to hydrate. Quench your thirst first thing with a large glass of water. You can even add lemon to help remove toxins from your digestive tract, stimulate your metabolism, and freshen your breath.

Write 3 Tasks

Write down three tasks that you MUST get done today and complete those three items first. Finishing your to-do list will instantly make you feel accomplished and can inspire you to complete additional items that may have originally overwhelmed you from the start.
